Veneers
Would you like a straight, sparkling, attractive smile without having to wait? Then porcelain veneers could be the cosmetic dentistry treatment for you as they can very quickly and simply correct a range of cosmetic issues and aesthetically improve your smile. If your top front teeth are malaligned, chipped or heavily stained, porcelain veneers are a great solution. If you have small gaps between your teeth they can also be used to cover them up when orthodontics is not an option. Veneers can also help to strengthen weaker or sensitive teeth.
They are a quick and easy way to give yourself a smile makeover.
Dental veneers are a thin layer of porcelain which is custom made to look as natural as your teeth. It fits neatly over the front surface of your existing tooth and held in place by a special strong bond like super-glue, in the same way a false fingernail fits over a nail.

What Is The Procedure For Getting Veneers?
After you have been assessed by your dentist and found that you are a good candidate for veneers, we can then schedule the required appointments.
These are a number of steps involved in the veneers process that requires dental impressions, creation of the porcelain veneer and the preparation of the tooth.
The first step in getting a new set of veneers is a consultation for X-rays and impressions. We will take this time to discuss the goals each patient is looking for with their new single or set of veneers. Veneers can be fitted to one single tooth or multiple teeth at the same time. We take an impression of your teeth to enable us to create a dental model.
A small amount of tooth enamel will be scraped from the tooth surface to make space for attaching the dental veneer.
An impression is taken of the teeth with that layer of enamel removed. and will be sent to a lab for the veneer creation. You will then be fitted with handcrafted temporary veneers, while your permanent ones are being created.
When the new handcrafted veneers arrive, we gently remove the temporary veneers and your new beautifully made porcelain veneers are cemented in place in a very quick process, which involves a special light to speed the hardening process.
The final step is to check the fit and see how you bite to ensure a perfect and desired fit.
